Me Talk Pretty One Day

Me Talk Pretty One Day - David Sedaris I think my expectations were too high for this book. I got what I wanted out of it, I laughed out loud. Many times. But the writing during the in-between times was just okay. What I like about Sedaris, and this is the first book I've read by him, is that he is not pretentious at all, which I was half-expecting, so I was pleasantly surprised by some gems like this: "A year after my graduation from the School of Art Institute of Chicago, a terrible mistake was made and I was offered a position teaching a writing workshop." I just love that.
The first third of the book was the best which was about his family. The very end of the book was putting me to sleep.
